Step 1 - Fundamental heavy bag
Learn how to use the 8 limbs with correct technique. Understand distance and timing. This class is for people that are new to Muay Thai!
Step 2 - Intermediate heavy bag
Once you have a clear understanding of the basic techniques it’s time to combine them. Footwork and balance play a part when working on the heavy bag with rhythm and timing.
Step 3 - Fundamental pads holding
Before you advance in to pads, we will teach you how to hold pads correctly for all Muay Thai techniques.
Step 4 - Technique
When you have an understanding about rhythms and timing on the bag it’s time to add partner drills in to your trainings routine. This is a more dynamic training so your footwork and balance will improve a lot. You will learn offense/defence in fight simulations given to you by the Kru.
Step 5 - Pads
You will be given more space to use your knowledge to flow around the given combination/fight simulations as a pads holder. Think about different set ups and finishes and a higher tempo compared to the basic pads class.
Step 6 - Kicking sparring & clinching (Tuesday)
Coming closer to the actual fight but in training you don’t have to worry about all the weapons in Muay Thai. You will work on defense/offense and learn how to outscore your trainings partner.
Step 7 - Sparring & clinching (Thursday)
Time to put everything together and practice this in sparring! Self control and no ego is a big part of the sparring. Trying to out score your partner in a playful way!
Step 8 - Pads, Sparring & Clinching
1,5 hour training! Set up your own fight simulations on pads without instruction of the Kru, we finish the class with spar & clinching…
